Same old questions. Are we alone out here? You better believe it. I was watching the news the other day and they were discussing the crime rate. It is regretful and there are a lot of evil people out there in the world. Statistics speak for themselves and as of 2010, the United States, Australia and Western Europe have about intentional three homicides per 100,000 people. Eastern Europe, Middle East and Northern Africa have 10-20 homicides per 100,000 people. The rest of Africa, Central America and all of South America have the highest murders at 30-40 per 100,000 people (unodc.org). This is just terrible. I would suggest that all of the underdeveloped countries do not report all of the homicides that occur for many reasons. Entire villages are eradicated for political and vengeful reasons I’m sure. To put this in perspective, the human is a violent species with each race contributing to the overall murder rate. Some contributions from certain parts of the world are higher than others and if one were to consider the years of war fatalities, these numbers would increase by many factors for those periods of time. Humans are fallen and because of that, we do not really understand the nature of that disposition. I seem to think that it was the forbidden apple that altered our DNA and expulsion from the Garden of An Eden was our species punishment (Ge.3: 24).
Now let us consider what we would do to violent individuals. First we determine their guilt or innocence and second when punishment is meted out by the appropriate authority for such, we assign a penalization that will atone and hopefully restore the individual to a more enlightened and therefore, less violent life to others. Adam and Eve had not killed anyone but their knowledge of evil from that moment on placed them on a road which would certainly make their children susceptible to Satan’s and his demons whisperings for such destruction. Adam and Eve’s children would bring destruction, pain and evil to the garden, to the earth and to their species. They were driven out (Ge.3: 24) and a guard was placed to prevent man from association with anything within the garden. His action brought forth a cursed earth (Ge.3: 17) where before there was a blessed earth (Ge.1: 12). Do you suppose that the garden had other life forms that interacted with Adam? If the garden was that acceptable as stated by God, than other forms of life would have been found there as well. God drove Man (all humans) out, he did not ask nicely and did not say come back in 48 hours. By placing a special Angel at the entrance, God did not trust Man to stay away because the human species was considered fallen and a threat to all of creation. Man would pollute everything they touched and came into contact with that was “good.” We are not totally evil as a species. We are however, a cursed species. We are a species that cannot help but listen to and be susceptible to evil. That was the change to our DNA and that curse is passed to all of this species. Where was the King of Evil sent? He was banished here! Where were all his evil angels sent? They are here also. Some confined and other free to roam at will among us! So what does one of holiness do with a cursed creation surrounded and placed with all the evil in the universe? He places them (mortal and spirit) behind a great and non penetrating vast wall where they can wreak havoc on themselves and only themselves. I believe that only specific angels and hosts may visit this earth and only at God’s will with specific instructions.
That wall is distance. Our cursed planet is surrounded by a vast wall of nothing. Do you even know where we live? We live in one galaxy called the Milkey Way (wikipedia.org) among more than 80 billion galaxies containing 30-70 sextillion stars. Light energy or the electromagnetic energies that we see travel at the speed of that light or 186,000 miles per second. We, the earth that is, are 4.2 light YEARS away from the nearest star system located in Proxima Centauri (enchantedlearning.com). The next closest star system is located in Alpha Centauri just a farther at 4.3 light YEARS distant. From there the distances increase by light years of 6.0, 8.1, 8.6, 9.4 and a star called Ross 248 at 10.4 light years away. We can only observe from the earth 46.5 billion light years in any direction or about 93 billion light years across (wikipedia.org). I am saying that we can observe only a small part of the universe totality. The planet Mars is a six-month voyage one way by current propulsion systems and there is no life there. We are constantly listening for radio affirmation of distant civilizations through giant radio scopes however, because radio energies travel at the same speed as light energy, they would take awhile to reach us from anywhere if, there were civilizations of that advancement around. It would appear to me at any rate that if we detected another species of radio technology, they would be aware of our “prison” by now. Perhaps they are.
We have heard and are aware of UFO sightings. Perhaps, just perhaps they are the wardens and guards of this outpost in the middle of nowhere or they could be reporting agents to a higher judging authority on our present state of affairs. Perhaps, just perhaps we have not yet found the technology to bridge that vastness of space and time because we would then be in contact with others. Additionally, should a human travel and become in contact with the “good” of the universe, that “good” can be tainted and available to the evil that rode along with us in the vehicle that we used. God had a war to remove the evil in his universe, I doubt he would appreciate its reappearance. That may not be a great idea in God’s plan of punishments. It is just possible that we will not escape this enforced confine because we will not be allowed to. Additionally it is perhaps why we can’t find anyone out there. Are we alone in this galaxy? I feel not. There are aliens abound just as a person from a town of 50 people, 200 miles from anything finds his way to Los Angeles if allowed to travel. We are not prepared to encounter the goodness of creation yet nor will we be allowed to do so at this time because we would just spoil it.
