Week 15 NFL picks and predictions get harder every year with the playoffs on the horizon. These week 15 NFL picks and predictions are no different, with some really tough games on the schedule and quite a few teams forced into must-win situations to save their 2009 season. There are also a couple of games that could turn into huge blow-outs with the chance for fantasy football owners to rack up the stats if they play the right set of players. It’s also going to be a week of tests, especially for the New Orleans Saints who have to play Dallas, and the Tennessee Titans who are hosting the Miami Dolphins.
The week 15 games start with the Thursday night game again, and a match-up of Indianapolis vs. Jacksonville. We have liked the Jaguars here, but it’s becoming harder and harder to state that the Colts might get upset. We think that Maurice Jones-Drew is going to have a great game, but we just can’t go against the Colts this week, and our prediction is a 13 point win to go to 14-0. The NFL Network also gets a Saturday night game this week, with Dallas vs. New Orleans, and that should turn out to be a pretty good game, but our pick and prediction is that New Orleans wins this one by two touchdowns with another late game surge.
Sunday gets started with a host of games that should be pretty easy to predict, with Arizona heading to Detroit and Houston heading to St. Louis. Start any offensive player you have for the Cardinals and the Texans, because this will be a huge game for both, and look for Boldin and Johnson to have exceptionally good games. The most boring game of the morning could be Chicago vs. Baltimore, which could turn into a slug-fest on defense that the Ravens will win. Although the Cleveland vs. Kansas City game elicits yawns before the teams even take the field. Look for Cleveland to post (*gulp*) their 2nd win in a row.
The Sunday evening games hold a bit more interest, with Cincinnati playing San Diego and Green Bay taking on Pittsburgh. The Bengals vs. Chargers game will be interesting because both teams are going to make the NFL Playoffs this season. It’s a great tune-up for both teams, and will give them the ability to see how they measure up. We still like the San Diego defense better than the Bengals defense, and predict that Rivers is going to have a very nice game on offense. Green Bay is looking to win another tough game, and it will be interesting to see if Pittsburgh has closed up shop in 2009. We think they have, and expect Green Bay to walk out of there with another win.
