2. The Dolphin Mall
It may not hold the designer brands you are looking for, but features creative architectural designs, and affordable clothing for the whole family. There are great restaurants, and nightlife located in the mall itself, and will leave you with a whole different shopping experience you never expected here in Miami.
3. Stampede Bar & Grill
Here you can experience a local feel that the whole family will enjoy. With different features every night such as karaoke on Wednesdays, this restaurant/bar/grill/billiards halls/arcade, will exceed all your expectations for the best dining experience, with food that will absolutely tantalize your taste buds!
4. Lejeune Cinemas VI
Although there may not be many theatres here, there are very low prices and even better concessions! You can enjoy viewing some of the latest box office hits here, with locals surrounding you! This is definitely a local spot for hang outs and unforgettable evenings!
5. The Everglades Motel
This is definitely not a luxury resort or hotel for that fact, but features some of the coolest rooms I have ever seen in Miami. They are small, and some may consider grungy, but like I said, a neat experience. If you aren’t afraid to pay less than $45 for a one night stay, with all cable channels, and a great stereo, this is one cool experience. I love it here, because there are mirrors that cover every wall, and even the ceiling. I hope you do not mind seeing yourself from ever angle all at once!
6. II Pomodora on Miracle Mile
If you brought your precious pooch with you on vacation, feel free to dine here for lunch with your pet! Yes, it may sound a little far fetched, but why not enjoy lunch and dinner with your pet right at your side, enjoying water and food from the fanciest bowls!
7. Highway Interchanges
Yes, this may sound somewhat strange, but after living in Miami for years, as well as living in all the other large cities in the U.S., I can honestly say that Miami has some of the coolest highway interchanges you will ever see in your life. Imagine being on a highway and looking at 5 other highway roads underneath you as you drive to your destination.
8. A Mariachi Sol De Oro
If you want to indulge in a true Spanish style meal and entertainment venue, this is the place to go. You will enjoy genuine meals, music, and dancers no matter where you look or sit, all for an affordable price. You will enjoy a true Hispanic hang out spot here.
9. Sunset Boulevard
No, you may not be in Hollywood, CA, but this is a great place to see. A lot of people are not aware that there is a Hollywood, Fl. I find it quite amusing since I grew up in Miami, and later lived in North Hollywood, CA. Although there may not be a ton of luxury to view, it is definitely filled with locals sights, and plenty of dining and entertainment experiences that await you.
10. Porky’s Adult Lounge
This is a great place to visit just minutes from the Miami International Airport. If you are waiting for time to pass for your next flight, bus, or train, this is a great hang out place. You have to be over 18 to get in here, as it is an adult lounge, however it is not trashy nor degrading in any way. They have great food, and you will enjoy some of the most affordable and tastiest alcoholic beverages in Miami!
Regardless of which one of these places you decide to visit, they are all great places to see when visiting Miami if you are looking for something to enjoy away from all the tourism. This was carefully put together by myself, who is proudly a Miami native.
