Warm hospitality and some of the city’s best prime rib is waiting for you at Lowry’s The Prime Rib at 100 E Ontario Street. Strolling musicians entertain you at Zocalo’s Restaurant and Tequila Bar. If it’s Italian food you have a taste for, Carmine’s has wonderful Italian specialties. You have to try Rosebud’s famous rigatoni and homemade vodka sauce, made in house. Sushi is definitely a favorite of mine and Ai Japanese Restaurant and Lounge located at 358 W Ontario Street in River North has a hot sushi bar and serves good Japanese cuisine. They feature a 4-course Valentine’s Day prix-fixe all weekend for $88 per couple. This price includes a complimentary bottle of sparkling sake. Low lighting and a romantic fireplace make the setting warm and intimate. Reservations are required, so call 312-335-9888.
Rosebud Prime is a steakhouse in the Downtown Loop that boasts the finest steaks and chops in Chicagoland. 15 Dearborn Street is where you can eat fresh oysters, Atlantic salmon, and of course, great steaks cooked the way you like them. Call 312-384-1900.
Also Downtown in the Loop is a well-known eatery, 676 Restaurant. Valentine’s Day dinner at this contemporary American cuisine restaurant will be a 4-course meal and amuse bouche, for $69 per person. For $89 per person you can get the 4-course dinner with wine pairing that includes a complimentary glass of champagne. Ladies get a red rose, a special touch to make their evening nice. Eat, drink, and dance the night away at Nacional 27. It’s Latin American cuisine and on February 13 and 14, Nacional 27 will offer a Valentine’s Day special: a 3-course menu for $45 per person and a 5-course menu for $75, plus one of their award-winning cocktails.
