Well, the rains have stopped. The sun is shining brightly, and I’m waiting for the roofers to arrive. Isn’t it strange how sunshine cheers people? The only other difference between today and yesterday is 24 hours, but yet the sister’s humming, the neighbor waved, and the mail carrier is skipping down the street. Sunshine is powerful stuff. Either that or everyone but me has found a new happy drug. Yeah, I love the four seasons, summer, fall, winter, and mud.
The ESPN reporter’s stalker got 30 months for taking nude videos. That ought to give him just about enough time to plan a brand new stalking strategy, as his perverted fascination with her festers for 2 ½ years. Hope her new found fame makes her enough money for a couple of gorilla body guards.
Toyota says they can’t replicate the latest “Priusgate”. Case closed then, because God knows they’ve been pretty upfront about everything else, right? Now, can we get the screaming like a girl guy off the news and move on, please? I know the claims the guy is making, I’ve heard the 911 call a gazillion times, I am aware Toyota is challenging his account, and guess what. I DON”T CARE ANYMORE! Sheesh. Enough already.
Does anyone but me think most locally made television commercials are an embarrassment? Why do otherwise normal and apparently quasi-intelligent business owners get sucked into make their own commercials? Bulletin! You look and sound like an idiot! There are reasons professionals are paid to film commercials, and you are one of the big ones. You wouldn’t ask an actor to paint your house, so why in the world would you do your own paint commercial?
Isn’t it appropriate that congress goes on “recess”? Not a “break” or a “vacation”, but a “recess”. I say it is appropriate because congress is a lot like a schoolyard. There are the bullies running the playground, thinking they rule the world the lackeys sucking up to the bullies, and the whiners that never get chosen by anyone to do anything. Yep, sounds like an elementary school to me.
Gabourney Sibide is taking some heat from the Hollywood crowd because of her size. She’s the “Precious” star who seems to be too comfortable in her own sizable skin for their liking. I say, screw ’em. You’ll be making enough money to pay cash for your medical bills anyway, honey. I’d be more concerned about being sued for that name. After all, it’s pretty close to Sigourney isn’t it?
Another 600 pound woman in New Jersey doesn’t seem to mind being super sized either. She’s shooting for 1000. She wants to be the heaviest woman alive. Her food bill is humongous, and she pays for it by letting people watch her stuff her face on the Internet. This idiot has cost the health care system more than I have from any smoking related illness (which is zero, to date), and the general consensus seems to be, the poor thing. She needs help. Yeah, lets all watch her inhale another Twinkie.
The University of York, in England has been conducting research studying babies that like to dance. The babies respond to the beat of music more then to speech. Well, cover me with mustard and call me a hot dog! Wonder how much that little study cost. Had I known about it, I could have sent Morag over to the university to photograph the phenomenon of babies moving their arms and legs to music. It has also been determined that babies smile when they do this. WOW!
Another study shows that arteries improve after quitting smoking. Didn’t we decide years ago that smoking causes arteries to constrict? I’m just wondering why we needed a study to tell us that if the smoking stops, the arteries would benefit. I dunno, call me crazy but a lot of these studies seem like an excuse to spend a lot of money and time on stupidology.
Seems to me that the people making appliances covered by warranties are experts at their jobs. They make them all to last exactly one day after the warranty expires. My side by side fancy refrigerator freezer with all the bells and whistles and doo-dads in the door for ice cubes and chilled water just crapped out. Guess how old it is. Three years and one day.
