When I first received my Party Lite Couture Hearthside Candle Holder with Three Panels, I knew it was a beautiful item and knew it was very versatile. After all, one item can be made to appear three ways: without any panels, with the couture panel, the snowflake panel, or the pumpkins and harvest panel. The item is a heavy looking metal piece that holds five candles. It has a rounded top with built-in trays to display candles at three different levels. This item can be used not only by the fire or on a coffee table, but you can also use it as a display on your kitchen table as well. This item is beautiful and ornate. It’s highly stylized without looking tacky, in my opinion.
This item is described as a customizable centerpiece display. You can add a lot of personality to this piece simply by choosing colors and scents that complement your decor and enhance the entire space.
You can use a number of different types of candles with this holder. The catalog suggests jar candles, pillar candles, ball candles, or votives, but the trays are a decent size so I am sure that list is not complete, and can extend as far as your imagination will go.
As I said, I knew the item was versatile, but when I looked through the most recent catalog, I found out that it goes far beyond adding or removing the panels and different candles. I saw it displayed as a serving station for food and was totally surprised! I would have never thought to use this item to serve different appetizers and foods on a table. In food-safe trays, cups, or other containers, you can place carrots, fresh broccoli, chips, dips, salsas, jellies, or whatever else you plan on serving. Underneath the item with the panel removed you can place other items as well. I thought that was just so neat and another great use to display your food in a unique fashion.
This item is not quite a foot tall at its highest point and a little over two feet wide. The exact dimensions, according to the Winter/Spring 2010 catalog are 10″h, 25″w.
The candle holder is constructed of metal, but it’s not very heavy, so anyone can carry and use this product and will not find it a difficult task to even place it on a higher shelf if so desired for either decoration on a high mantle or to put into a storage area when not in use. This item is sturdy enough and quality constructed to last many, many years even with frequent use.
The Hearthside Candle Holder is available with three panels or six panels (one of each for the front as well as the back side of the product). The couture panel is very fancy looking with rounded vine-like designs throughout the panel. The pumpkin and harvest panel has two pumpkins anchored towards the bottom of the panel with vines and leaves similar to the couture design towards the top of the panel. The snowflake panel has several beautiful different shapes of snowflakes covering the panel.
It’s very easy to remove and change the panels. They are magnetic and “snap” off very easily with little effort, yet they are secure enough not to fall off without manipulation. The panels are very lightweight and flat surfaced, so they are not a hazard to anyone that should be handling the product.
This product is a little pricey, but it will last a lifetime and is very beautiful. At $89.95 for the item, including all three panels, I think it’s well worth it due to its sturdy construction, beauty, and versatility. Party Lite is a company such as Pampered Chef that offers a number of specials, including half-price items and host specials, so the price of this item can be easily reduced if you host a party or utilize any number of their monthly specials.
(I didn’t actually have to pay for my product because I sell Party Lite and got it for free when I hosted my starter show, but it is a very popular product and one of my favorites, so had I not grasped this opportunity and had extra money, it’s certainly an item in which I would have invested.)
