My typical morning starts out with me hitting the snooze button about a dozen times. I was never a morning person and thanks to coffee I don’t have to be. However, sometimes not being a morning person takes a toll on my hair. Often times you’ll see me sporting the messy bun or the ponytail. I always try to keep it simple in the morning since I usually don’t have time for a shower. But sometimes this is especially bad. I’ll wake up with greasy locks and what may seem like a 5-minute shower turns into a 15 or 20 minute one, making me late for class. So what’s a girl to do?
I’ve heard about powdered and dry shampoos before. However, I usually stick to the normal stuff. I’ve heard numerous things about dry shampoo, both good and bad. I’ve heard it’s a good alternative to a regular shower if you just simply don’t have time. But I’ve also heard that it can sometimes be clumpy and dry out your scalp. I rediscovered dry shampoo one day while I was browsing the Bliss website looking for normal skin care products. What I didn’t know is that Bliss offers a wide variety of products for your hair too, especially from great brands like Ojon and Alterna.
I stumbled across Oscar Blandi’s Pronto Dry Shampoo. I read some reviews of the product before hand to be quite honest and all of them seemed positive overall. I figured it was worth a shot to try too. So for $19, I purchased the 2.5 oz. bottle of dry shampoo directly from the Bliss website.
The Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo promises a lot. For one, it states that it soaks up oil, removes product buildup, increases the volume of your hair, and scents your locks with lemon verbena. Not only that, but it compared it to a fresh out of the shower feeling.
I waited until a day where I didn’t want to shower to try out the Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo. I put some of the powder in my hands, rubbed them together, and then applied it to my hair, starting at my scalp and working my way outwards to the ends of my strands. After that, I ran a bristle hair brush through my hair to make sure it was completely applied.
Immediately, I could smell the lemon verbena scent. It was like heaven and I could smell it on my hair. The powder also immediately soaked up any oil on my scalp and strands and I could tell from looking in the mirror. Not only that, but my hair stayed this way all day until I showered in the evening.
Overall, I would rate the Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo a 5/5. It’s a wonderful product to use when you just don’t have time to shower and you want to go out. The price is great too and the whole bottle lasted me around 15-20 uses. Talk about a bargain!
