As consumers that are worried about climate change we want to do our small part to help reduce CO2 emissions and landfill waste. Ski companies are doing their part to offer their outdoor enthusiasts the right eco-friendly equipment that is up to the same standards as their non-environmentally friendly counterparts. This article will look at different eco-friendly ski poles, jackets, hats, and skis. Note: I have not been endorsed by any of these companies to give my opinions of their ski gear.

The bamboo poles are very strong and can handle harsh conditions without breaking. I recommend checking out www.sierratradingpost.com to find a pair of the Komperdell bamboo ski poles for only $99.

Eco-friendly ski jackets
Patagonia is one of favorite outdoor jacket companies as well as the first choice for many skiers. Jackets such as the men’s Synchilla jacket as well as many other jackets on the Patagonia lineup are made from 100% recycled polyester. The jackets can also be recycled after use, which makes them environmentally friendly to make and when you are done with them. The Patagonia company takes a strong stance on environmental issues, which makes them a great eco-friendly company to purchase from.
