The town currently has 10 wineries, all with tasting rooms and two of those even offer you the opportunity to create your own wine labels.
Cross Timbers Winery is just one of the many in town and is located in one of the oldest building in Grapevine, the Dorris/Brock house, reported to have been built 1874. This facility offers many wines from Blushes to Cabernet Sauvignons. They also offer rental facilities for special occasions such as weddings or corporate outings. The old barn has been reconstructed on its original site in order to house these events and can hold up to 200 guests. Visit this location, not only for the wine, but for the beautifully refurbished historical home.
Su Vino Winery, located in historic downtown Grapevine, was established in 2003 and is know as the first custom winery in Texas. Having won over 50 medals for their wonderful wines, they also will help you in customizing a wine to your tastes and they even let you help make it! You can also rent their tasting rooms for special events and an event planner can help you make it special with the perfect wine. You can also attend one of their educational wine tastings so that even if you are the least experienced wine drinker, you can come away with a new found knowledge and appreciation of wines.
Homestead Winery, located off of Main Street, can boost of being the oldest continually operated winery in North Texas. Its vineyards are in Ivanhoe, just about an hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Their wines include a Homestead Red that has a hint of plums, a Sweet Home Ivanhoe that is a sweet, fruity white wine and the Ivanhoe Celebration, a sparkling specialty wine.
The Delaney Vineyard, located just outside of town on Champagne Blvd, has 10 acres of vineyards on site and grows the Cythinana grape.
