When it comes to health and beauty products, female celebrities are no different than the average Jane. If it is not runway time and the makeup artist isn’t on standby, Hollywood stars have their favorite brands for personal use. A few products run consistent across the board. Every woman loves a good mascara and after a certain age, quality anti-aging products and moisturizers become the faithful companion.
In this article, we are going to reference a few products that were listed at Cosmopolitan.com1 as celebrity recommended favorites. The Cosmo story featured 100 favorite beauty products, but this article is only going to take a close, personal look at five that can be discussed based on personal experience and opinion.
Courtney Cox, star of the fan favorite Friends and the recent hit Cougar Town, stated that her favorite product is Kinerase C8 Peptide Intensive Treatment face cream. Kinearase contains a combination of Vitamins and antioxidants to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles in a matter of weeks. The product is very soothing to use and does yield results. The price is $98 for a one ounce bottle (which does go a good distance.) If the cost is prohibitive, consider the Olay Regenerist product line as an alternative.
Eliza Dushku, star of the ill-fated Dollhouse, loves Blinc mascara. Blinc doesn’t “color” your lashes like a conventional mascara, it utilizes a tube technology. This product is not one that will melt off during a sweaty workout session or streak after a crying jag. Blinc does not amplify as well as other mascaras, so an alternate product should be used when oomph is needed! $24 is a pretty standard price for a non-drugstore mascara, so Blinc is an acceptable buy for the beauty connoisseur.
Neutrogena Healthy Defense SPF 45 Daily Moisturizer is a personal favorite of Jennifer Garner, and with good reason. Having necessary SPF protection coupled with a daily moisturizer is an ideal combination. SPF 45 is great protection for people with fair skin. At $10-$12 per container, this product is well within the reach of the average consumer.
Gwyneth Paltrow, spokeswoman for Estee Lauder, appreciates Estee Lauder Signature Hydra Bright Lustre Lipsticks. She states “The elegant gold case is ultrafeminine, and the shades are perfect.” At $19.50, these lipsticks are a slightly more upscale form of bargain. The casing is gorgeous, as Gwyneth points out, and the results are real worth the price tag. If the cost is a bit much at any one time, then consider purchasing one every few months until a nice collection of colors is obtained.
Superstar Taylor Swift loves the Venus Embrace razor, which is a great product to have as a favorite when walking the red carpet in leg baring dresses. The embrace razors give a smooth and non-irritating shave and are almost always $10 or less. On a good day at Wal-Greens, they can be had for almost half-price!
Female celebrities are like any other woman at the end of the day. Health and beauty favorites aren’t always luxurious brands with triple digit price tags, they are the essentials that contribute to an overall feeling of beauty and well-being.
