Most people don’t find working out fun but if we want to stay in shape we have to exercise. There is a way to exercise and have fun at the same time and that is doing dance work outs. Dance work outs work out every muscle in your body especially your heart muscle. While you are dancing away though you will not even be aware of all the muscles in your body you will be using. Some people may find dance workouts a little difficult at first, but every day you do them they get easier and after just a few times and after you start getting the moves down then it just becomes really fun. After you master one Dance workout DVD you will want to do another. Dancing is also great for stress removal so if you had a bad day you just pop in your dace video and start dancing and the next thing you know your spirits will be lifted.
Dancing is a popular trend right now so there have been a lot of different dance workout DVD’s released recently. I have favorite oldies, but that is for another article. I will share many of the newer Dance fitness DVD’s released. They are in particular order.
Pussycat Dolls Workout
This DVD might actually convince some men to do dance work out videos. As the Pussy Cat dolls dance around in very sexy outfits. But this is not just mere performance you will have to do more than just watch. This 60 minute DVD taught by Pussycat Doll choreographer Robin Antin. The DVD contains some of the signature Pussy Cat Dolls dance moves and even teaches you some of the choreography to their songs. You will even learn a Burlesque routine.
The DVD features music from the Pussy Cat Dolls including: Don’t Cha and Buttons. While the entire running time of the DVD is 60 minutes that is not all work out time. The actual work out time is about 45 minutes where you will learn 3 different dance routines.
This is a good dance work out for people whose dance skills are intermediate. Beginners should work at their own pace.
Dance Your Ass Off the Workout
This workout DVD was created from the new Oxygen show Dance Your Ass Off. Dance Your Ass Off is a weight loss competition where contestants diet and dance to lose weight they compete with their dancing and weight loss to stay on the show. The show was created by both the Oxygen network and Crunch gyms.
This 46 minute DVD is taught by: Hilary Fleming, Lisa Liqon (the shows choreographer, and Jesus, the rest of the dance class includes another professional dancer and 2 other and Ruben the winner of the first show. There are three different dance combinations: Latin, Hip Hop, and Disco. This is a good dance work out for beginners because it is quite simple and not overly taxing on the body. Experienced dancers may find this one a bit boring and not physically challenging enough. But this is perfect for someone who wants to start a dance workout routine who is not well coordinated or really out of shape.
Dance With Julianna Cardio Ball Room
This is my favorite of the 3 workouts. This DVD dance work out is taught by Julianna Hough. Julianna Hough is one of the professional dancers on Dancing with the Stars. Julianna is an excellent instructor and has a positive and fun vibe throughout the work out. The work out is 55 minutes long. Don’t let the word Ball Room in the title full you, you don’t need a partner, and there is nothing stuffy about this workout. I like the Julianna gets your warmed and stretched out before you start dancing. This work out is really fun, but it is challenging. You will sweat. You will want to start out slow with this one and only do what you can if you are a beginner. This is an excellent workout for those who are intermediate and advanced dancer or somewhat fit to well fit.
These are just 3 of the newly released dance work out DVDs I will write about more of them after I have had a chance to do them, I have about 9 I have not had a chance to do yet. But these three should cover every fitness level.
