You hear a lot about article templates but how often does someone actually show you one for free? I’ve seen many free article templates out there and the one thing that almost all have in common is that they aren’t really that helpful. Here are five great mini-templates that will help you get started writing articles and they’re completely free!
The How-To Article:
How To _____ (Fill in with your topic)
Introduction- tell the reader what they will find in your article
Step by step instructions- in numbered format, tell the reader what they should do to complete your title.
What you need- include a note about what they will need to complete this how-to. Listed format is good.
Summary- now repeat everything you’ve just told them in a neat little summary closing the article.
What I’ve Learned Article:
What I’ve Learned about ___ (Fill in your topic):
Introduction- tell the reader what they will find in your article and give them the subject matter.
Now tell them what you’ve learned from the experience.
Next provide supporting facts or examples of how you have learned.
Summary- Wrap it all up with some takeaways they can remember and learn from the article.
Dos and Don’ts Article:
Dos and Don’ts for ___ (Fill in your topic):
Introduction- tell the reader what they will find in your article and a brief description of your topic.
List the dos for your topic. List or bulleted form is popular.
Now list the don’ts in list or bullet form.
Summary- Go over everything you’ve just told the reader once more and give them a closing with some “takeaways” of your article.
Top 10 List
Top 10 ___ (Fill in your topic):

Your list- Now list your top 10 reasons or things

Summary- Now wrap up the list with some closing thoughts and a recap on what you’ve just given the reader.
Product Review
Review of ____ (Fill in your topic):

Pros- Now list the pros of this product, what you enjoyed and what the reader might enjoy

Summary- Now wrap up your thoughts and the pros and cons of this product in the summary to help the reader review everything you’ve just told them.
