Are you planning on attending Arkansas State University – Beebe to earn your college education? If so, you might need to know the ins and outs to help move your way through the system as you earn your education. Lack of a knowledge when attending a university can cause the student much grief, so take the time to learn these tips for helping you experience a pleasant time at Arkansas State University – Beebe:
Enroll in the Principles of Academic Success class. This class is designed to help an incoming student, whether the student has been a student at another campus or not. This class acquaints the student with the contacts that will be helpful as the student moves through the system. As well, this class helps students acquire different ways of learning and also helps the students to form bonds with instructors, other students, and people outside the university. This class counts as an elective.
Stay in close contact with Financial Aid. Particularly, in the beginning of the semester, it’s important to stay in close contact with the Financial Aid office to make sure that all your funding pays in. You might even be missing some paperwork that could prevent your funding from paying in, altogether. While Financial Aid does notify the student in such a case, the written notification sometimes fails to make its way to the student, so keeping in touch could help prevent the school from dropping the student for nonpayment.
Utilize the Learning Center. The Learning Center serves as one of Arkansas State University – Beebe’s biggest assets. The Learning Center offers generous hours for the students to seek help with knowledgeable tutors. As well, students can use the up-to-date computer lab to complete their class assignments. The Learning Center Director also keeps a log of how many hours each student utilizes The Learning Center and provides record of this to an instructor upon request.
Enjoy the campus cafeteria. Arkansas State University – Beebe provides a really nice cafeteria. It’s more than hospitable to those who use it and anyone can eat here, and I would. This cafeteria cooks up some of the best food around, and you certainly won’t find better food in the small town of Beebe, Arkansas. You can find a copy of the cafeteria’s weekly menu in the campus newsletter. Arkansas State University – Beebe’s cafeteria serves breakfast, lunch, and supper, all at a reasonable price.
Join the International Club. If you want to meet new people and become involved in campus activities, the International Club is the club for you. It’s still a new club, so it’s etching out its framework as I write about it. This small club is full of fun people, looking to know others from around the world, so jump on in and help make this club the best it can be. Dr. Kae Chatman serves as the contact person for this club. Arkansas State University – Beebe welcomes you to the university.
