Actor Andrew Koenig is still missing, but more and more clues are surfacing that suggest he is alive. His parents have flown to Vancouver and in a press conference today, his mother spoke directly to her son on camera. Judith Koenig begged her son, Andrew to let them know he was alright.
Choking back the tears both of Andrew Koenig’s parents spoke saying “We just want to know that you’re O.K. and if you want to stay here, change your life … that’s O.K.” , reports TMZ.

Andrew had given 30 days notice to his landlord in LA before leaving and he got his security deposit back. The landlord also told TMZ that Andrew did not get along with his mother.
A handy man and neighbor of Andrew’s said that another neighbor that lived in the building had gone missing a few years back and he was found dead of an apparent suicide. It was an eerie coincidence.
Andrew either sold or gave away all of his belongings before leaving for Vancouver. The handy man neighbor said that Andrew had left him a new pair of running shoes at his door with a note saying “these will make a world of difference” before leaving for Canada.
The handy man said that he did not believe his friend is dead. He gave 30 days notice and planned his trip to Vancouver, “this does not sound like a man who is going to kill himself.”
Ever since Andrew’s story has hit the press there have been numerous reports of him being seen all around the Vancouver area. Police say they have electronic records that his ATM has been being used.
Andrew’s parents, Walter and Judith Koenig are remaining in Vancouver to help look for their son. They are putting up fliers and Walter made a special plea to the people of Vancouver to keep an eye out for his son, especially in coffee shops. He asked if anyone sees him to please call the police.
The Koenig’s are going under the assumption that Andrew is severely depressed. His mother said he had been on medication for depression, but stopped taking it. In part of her on camera plea, as she spoke to Andrew directly she said “we will get you help” and that “he was loved by many.” Her final words in the press conference were again to her son. She said, “your are loved, you count, and you matter.
It sounds as if the Koenig’s believe that their son Andrew is extremely depressed and is still in Vancouver alive. I hope this is the case. It also sounds like they might believe the depression may have rendered Andrew incoherent and this may be why he is not seeing the media frenzy around his disappearance.
