The Amazon Mobile application allows iPhone and iPod touch owners to quickly search, shop, compare prices, read reviews, and make purchases on Amazon.com using a simple, yet elegant interface. Amazon customers have full access o their existing cart, wish lists, payment and shipping options, order history, 1-click ® settings, and Prime membership benefits. All purchases made on Amazon Mobile route through Amazon’s secure servers in the same process used on the company website. The Amazon app also includes a new experimental feature called Amazon Remembers that allows you to use the camera on your iPhone to create a visual list of things you want to remember while out-and-about. The photos you take from the app are stored on both the Amazon Mobile app and Amazon’s website. If the item you want to remember is a product Amazon Remembers will even try to find a product similar to your photo for sale on the web. If we do, we will send you an e-mail alert and post the result along with the photo.

Amazing Amazon Mobile Takes Shopping on the Road!
The Amazon Mobile iPhone and iTouch application offers all the comfort of shipping at midnight in pajamas into the workday. This app boasts all the same features available on the full Amazon website, in a portable version for on the go convenience.
Clicking on the app button sends users to the start screen where they can log in or create an Amazon account. Account features, including an existing want list or shopping cart are accessible on both Apple devices and a laptop or home desktop computer. Users can search the website as a guest by tapping the orange search bar on the start screen. After selecting the search option, the Apple device keyboard automatically pops up, and the fun can begin.
Item photos load quickly, and appear as thumbnails on the screen. A brief description accompanies the photo, and enlarges by double tapping on either the photo or description. Amazon Mobile users select shipping and payment method, along with the options to add items to the shopping cart or a wish list. Users can create wish lists after signing in to an existing Amazon account, or registering as a new user.
The Amazon Remembers features is one of the most exciting aspects of this application. Users can take a photo of anything, whether it is on the shelf at a store, or a stylish blouse on a coworker. The photos are viewable by other Amazon users, who can offer match suggestions to the same or similar products on Amazon or user reviewed stores. Once an Amazon Remembers item has a match, a red circle appears on the screen and alerts the user to the match.
I highly recommend the Amazon Mobile application to anyone who enjoys the sports of shopping, or who hates visiting the mall, but wants to find the best price on a needed item.
