Losing a cell phone is one of the worst fears of cell phone owners. Cell phones are small and easy to lose in just about any place, but the worst place to lose cell phone is a public place. Following are the 5 worst places to ever lose your cell phone.
1. Public bathroom
Public bathrooms aren’t the most ideal place to “have to go” and they’re definitely one of the worst places to lose your mobile phone. Public places like restrooms see lots of traffic and it’s likely that your mobile phone will be stolen if ever lost in a public place like a public restroom. The worst part of losing your cell phone in a nasty place like a public bathroom is finding your cell phone if it wasn’t stolen. It’s likely that your lost cell phone dropped and fell to the ground, the worst possible place in a bathroom. Finding that lost mobile phone in any place in a public restroom is just about as bad as losing it in the first place; you’ll never want to hold that disgusting cell phone near your mouth, face, or ear again or even hold it at all for that matter.
If you store your cell phone in your pockets and ride public transportation, you’ll likely lose your cell phone due to pocket “slippage.” If you ever lost your cell phone in a cab, bus, or train, you’ll know that public transportation is one of the worst places to lose a mobile phone if you had hopes of finding it again. Bus passengers wish the worst for your cell phone, iPod, purse, wallet and other goodies in hopes of finding or swiping them when you leave and taxi drivers and passengers also love finding your lost goods. One of the worst things about losing your mobile phone in a place like a cab or bus is that you’ll likely board more than one and you’ll have a hard time remembering the last place you had your mobile phone.
The worst place you’ll find yourself if you fear losing your mobile phone is a club or bar. Shaking like a dancing maniac and getting “plastered” will most certainly result in a lost cell phone. Drinking and dancing is the perfect combo to make sure you lose your cell phone and never find it again. The dance club and bar is probably the worst place ever to lose a mobile phone; the low lights, loud music, bumping, grinding, crowding, drinks, dancing, and coat check-in, make leaving the club without a lost cell phone a miracle.
You wouldn’t think school and work were amongst one of the worst places to lose a cell phone, but if you’ve ever lost a mobile phone at either place, you’d know firsthand that you’d never find a lost cell phone at school or work. The large population, low code of ethics, and opportunistic colleagues at both school and work make your mobile phone subject to be lost or stolen. Work and school are like second homes and it’s easy to let your guard down and carelessly lose your mobile phone in places you’d never remember or find. If you ever lost your cell phone at your school or work place, you’ll quickly discover how much you trust your colleagues and it’ll be a real “eye opener.”
Airports are huge, busy, and crowded and your cell phone doesn’t stand a chance. Airports also provide the best opportunity to lose your cell phone by being constantly frisked, searched, and emptying your pockets which can just about guarantee a lost cell phone. Airports are also packed with bathrooms, stores, seating areas, and many other places that’ll leave you puzzled once your mobile phone is lost. Worst of all, if you were to lose your cell phone on an airplane or have it stolen by another passenger, you’re mobile phone can end up in any city, state, or continent.
