The 2010 swimsuit season is upon us. Going swimsuit shopping is scary enough without having to break the bank on a half a yard, or less, of fabric. Consider my picks for the Top 5 Swimsuits Under $50 and the following suggestions when deciding which suit to choose this year.
It is only a matter of time before we get the urge to take the kids to the beach, the invite to the neighborhood pool party or the desire to lie out in the backyard with a good book and glass of lemonade. Planning ahead can save you frustration and lots of money.
#1 Swimsuit under $50 – The Flirty Bikini
Victoria’s Secret has many pricier options, but this cute Polka Dot Bikini with the balconet top can hold it’s own against any designer bikini. The bikini top with padded underwire cups and removable straps are fully lined with a back closure. Also offered in purple, black and turquoise all well under $50 at just $35.99. If you order online and change your mind, the suit can be returned at your local Target store.
#4 Swimsuit under $50 – Retro Tankini
This sweet black Retro Tankini, also from Target, has all the features of an expensive suit for much less money. In fact the top is just $18 and the bottom only $14. The halter top on this suit is long with a nice ruffle at the hem, reaching all the way to overlap with the bottom. Target is a great source for affordable bathing suits as the season approaches, and they generally stay well stocked in their stores throughout the summer, slashing prices near Fall. Check their online and in store offerings throughout the season for great deals.
# 5 Swimsuit under $50 – Asymmetrical Attention Getting Tankini
Kohl’s is the source of this fun Fuchsia Zebra Print Tankini from Apartment 9. The top has an exotic and fashionable flair with its one shoulder strap and O-ring metal accent, and the bottom is either a simple fuchsia brief or a fuchsia swim skirt. Each piece is under $25.
