Gather the following ingredients to make waterproof glass glue: 2 packets (1/2 ounce total) of unflavored gelatin, 2 tablespoons of cold water, 3 tablespoons of skim milk, several drops of clove oil for preservation.
Pour the cold water into a small bowl and sprinkle the gelatin over the water. Set the bowl aside for about an hour to let the gelatin soften.
Heat the milk just to the boiling point and pour it into the softened gelatin mixture. Stir until the gelatin is dissolved. Add the clove oil as a preservative. If you are using the glue right away, you do not need the clove oil.
