New Years Day always makes me feel so grand. I feel full of opportunity. I feel full of promise. I can do anything when a New Year comes around. As always, when this time comes there are New Years Resolutions that must be made.
I plan to attract 10,000 faithful readers to my blog. I plan to recommend products and services to my readers. Products and services that I trust and use myself. I love blogging. It is my life and my love and it is a part of the grand plan that I have for my brand.
I started this blog in about June. I erased all the blogs and found a niche for the blog in approximately September of this year. Now, I am ready to build this blog up and have it and be the starting point of my brand. 10,000 readers is a small goal. If the readers are faithful, that will be enough to create a good fulltime income.
Now, the big question is: How will I maintain this goal and achieve it?
Number 1: Update my blog on a regular daily basis with premium content from this point on.
I am a writer, so I write on more sites than my blog alone. Sometimes it gets pretty easy to neglect my own blog. To make my New Years Resolution work, then I will have to make my posts a top priority. Everything else must fall second to this resolution.
Number 2: Continuously market to and engage new readers.
I will have to use all of the free and low cost sources that I can find to market to and engage new readers of my blog. Since the free sources take time, I will have to add in paid advertising sources as well.
Number 3: Exchange guest posts with other great bloggers that I admire.
This is wonderful and not to mention fun way to engage new readers and expand my community in the blogosphere. I like this and have done it a few times and plan to do more guest posting and have more guest posts in the future.
Number 4: Engage with my readers through adding forums and at least 3 social media outlets.
This is going to be the bulk of my time this year. Chatting in a forum that I will be building, amongst my other sites and participating in social media. I know that I will be using Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. I am not sure if I will be adding other social media profiles to this goal. We will see how it goes.
Number 5: Create and recommend the best products and services to my readers to help them live better lives.
Blogs make money off of ads and recommending products or creating their own products. This is one thing that I plan to do with my own blog. I only plan to recommend products that I use and services that I trust.
I am ready to make 2010 an amazing year. This is my goal and my plans. I am ready. Are you ready?
